Audience segments
Define the customer segments and audiences the platform should reason about when judging targeting and performance.
Audience segments
Audience segments describe who you are trying to reach, so the platform can judge whether your targeting and spend line up with the customers that matter.
What segments capture
Under Business → Audience you define your customer segments — the distinct groups you sell to, what characterises them, and their relative value. This complements the audience data synced from Google Ads.
How they are used
- Targeting review — audits check whether audience targeting and bid adjustments align with your valuable segments.
- Performance lens — performance can be read through the segments you care about rather than raw demographics.
- Recommendations — advice can call out segments that are under- or over-invested.
Keeping segments useful
Define a small number of meaningful segments rather than many overlapping ones. The clearer the segments, the more pointed the audience-performance findings will be.
